Reader's Digest 800 XR Stereo Receiver with 8 Track Player

This is a combination 8-track, radio and receiver from the 1970's that is branded "Readers Digest". Great size for a shelf system because it is only 9-1/2" deep.In the 1960s and 70s, Readers Digest would actually sell products branded with their name! The model number on this one is "800XR". It measures 21" wide x 9-1/2" deep x 5" high. Has a vinyl woodgrain finish and a lighted display. Will power 2 pairs of speakers. Has a phono input for your turntable, an auxiliary input for your iPod and a tape output to attach a cassette player. Sounds as good (or better) than many units made today.The unit has been recently serviced, all of the lamps light up, the front face plate is in good shape, shiny and clean. All of the controls are smooth-working and noise-free. Picks up lots of stations in stereo.
