The Story

Fried Model R monitors. These are a mirror imaged pair with consecutive serial numbers. These exceptional speakers employ phenomenal KEF LS3/5A drivers, including the T27 melinex tweeter and B110 bextrene midrange. In order to supplement this Irving M. Fried supplemented these two drivers with the B139 'racetrack woofer' for improved bass response. The speaker employs a resistive line tunnel (modified transmission line variant) to increase the LF extension. This speaker exhibits very sweet highs with the T27 tweeter along with the lush British midrange long associated with the B110.
