The deep, rich appearance of the ESS Nine fully complements its luxurious sonic character. A painstakingly perfected three-way system it rolls forth deep, incredibly taut bass with enough force to overwhelm the most avid rock fan while projecting an overall purity impeccable enough to excite the chamber ensemble enthusiast.
Thoroughly transparent and uncolored in character the Nine dominates by its versatility and by the amazing acceleration of its drivers. Guitar transients leap forth, snare drums are crisp and clear in their attacks, pianos sound like pianos, the bow of the string bass really bites.
